The apostle Paul addressed Titus as his "genuine child according to the common faith" (Titus 1:4). This is the faith that is common to all believers in Christ and for which Jude exhorted them to contend: "...I found it necessary to write to you and exhort you to earnestly contend for the faith once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3). Watchman Nee believed, taught, contended for, kept, and died for this faith. His departing note briefly stated the essence of the Christian faith and testified that he had kept and died for it:
Christ is the Son of God who died for the redemption of sinners and resurrected after three days. This is the greatest truth in the universe. I die because of my belief in Christ.
The first subsection entitled Christian Faith is a fuller statement of the faith taught by Watchman Nee followed by Major Teachings, and Other Crucial Scriptural Teachings.
